[Emily] did very well developing a story that had suspense, humor, characters with solid, godly morals, and how they dealt with the problem of evil and reconciling their past. -Bruce Brady

Emily, thank you for getting me through a tough few hours by taking me on a thrilling journey. I had your book for about two weeks but did not get around to reading it. This week I went to the hospital with my husband who was having a surgical procedure so I thought it was fitting to start reading ICU. (I was sitting in the same waiting room I had been in two years earlier waiting for him to have triple heart by-pass surgery and the memories and tears started to over-whelm me). I forced back the tears and started reading your book. After just a few pages I was completely captivated. I couldn’t put it down! I just loved it. Your writing was so vivid that I felt I was watching a movie (maybe this should be made into a movie). The only problem I had with it is that it ended before they married, had kids, took over the business, did even greater things with the corporate profits, etc. Please, you must do a sequel. Thank you again for getting me through a tough time. In fact, my husband was wheeled to the waiting room and he had to say my name several times before I looked up and realized the time had passed and he was out and doing well. Sequel, sequel.
Count me as one of your fans,
Kathleen Collins

I’m so glad that you truly enjoyed the book and that your husband had a successful surgery. Thank you for sharing this with me; it really brightens my day to know another person’s day was brightened by my story. God bless you, and again, I’m very happy that you enjoyed the book.

This novella was written when the author was 14 years-old and published when she was 17. Considering her age and ability, Carde shows incredible promise. For that reason, we chose her as a Noteworthy Read in the California Fiction Writers Book Challenge 2012.
We recommend the author place her book on Amazon so others can discover it too. Good job Emily.
